“What a delight it was to have resided in this villa for 2 weeks.   Being a gated community, we expected a posh neighbourhood. This was not the case as there seemed to be a mix of down to earth locals and short term visitors (like ourselves). To us, this

added to the homeliness of the accommodation. The expression ‘home from home’ is a perfect description.  Entering the villa, we immediately knew that booking this one (we looked at several) was a good decision. Once inside it was clear how well maintained it is - Beautifully clean, very tidy, and the dining table (one of the first things you see) was well laid out, with nice finishing touches. The two lounge areas were well furnished, and welcoming.  The kitchen is well equipped and, although we didn’t eat in often, had everything we could have wished for. Plenty of gadgets, crockery, cutlery, etc. The usual big fridge, and other storage space for your food and drink. As with the rest of the house, it was spotless - No sign of roaches or ants (which can be a problem in this part of the world) for the whole two weeks we were there. Out the back patio doors, and into the pool area. It has become a family tradition to test the pool on the first day of arriving at our Florida holiday home (wherever that might be), and Orchid Villas pool did not disappoint. A good size, clean, and the enclosure was in good condition. Some of the outdoor furniture showed signs of weathering (a little green mould was forming on the cushions) - We thought it was a result of the unusually high levels of rainfall that occurred around the time of our stay (August 2011).

All of the bedrooms are individually tastefully decorated and furnished. Ample storage in the form of drawer units and wardrobes. The en suites in bedrooms 1 and 2 were very welcome, and meant no waiting for toilets or showers. The majority of our group found the beds comfortable,although the couple in the master bedroom did say the mattress was a bit lumpy.
